Consul General: Onur Şaylan
Consul General Onur Şaylan was born in Ankara in 1982.
He graduated from Konya Akşehir Anatolian High School. He completed his undergraduate education in International Relations Department at the Middle East Technical University in Ankara/Turkey in 2005. He obtained his master’s degree in European Studies program at Rheinische-Friedrich Wilhelms University in Bonn/Germany in 2006.
Consul General Şaylan joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2006. During his tenure at the capital, he served in the Americas Department, at the Cabinet of the Presidential Office and at the Cabinet of the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs.
Consul General Şaylan held various positions at the Embassy in Ashgabat, the Embassy in Kabul, the Permanent Representation to the NATO and the Embassy in Washington. After completing his tenure as the Chief of Cabinet at the Deputy Foreign Minister’s Office, he started his duty as the Dubai Consul General as of February 15, 2023.
