‘KICK OFF THE SEASON’ NETWORKING EVENT We are thrilled to share the highlights from our recent Kick Off the Season event, which took place on 7th of September, 2023, at the stunning McGettigan's, Hilton Palm, Dubai. With more than 350 enthusiastic attendees, it was a resounding success that left everyone in high spirits. The evening began with a warm welcome and a vibrant atmosphere that set the tone for the night. Members from various industries and backgrounds gathered to celebrate the start of a new season and the incredible spirit of our Turkish Business Council Dubai community. One of the primary goals of our event was to provide a platform for networking and forging valuable connections. MUSIC CONCERT: EVRENCAN GUNDUZ AND UZAYLILAR On September 23, 2023, we concluded the month with a memorable evening at Zabeel Theatre. With an unforgettable performance, Evrencan Gunduz and his band ‘Uzaylilar’ captivated a crowd of more than 500 people, adding a touch of joy and excitement to our calendar of events. The concert itself was a huge success. The audience was completely charmed by Evrencan Gunduz's charming performance and stunning vocals. Even as a seated event, towards the end, nobody was sitting still; instead, they were all up on their feet dancing. After the performance, Evrencan Gunduz hung out with his fans, posed for photos, and chatted. We appreciate your attendance, Evrencan. Until we cross paths again, farewell! TÜRKIYE EXPORTERS ASSEMBLY (TIM) TRADE DELEGATION B2B MEETINGS The Türkiye Exporters Assembly (TIM) trade delegation B2B meetings took place at the Intercontinental Hotel Festival City in Dubai on September 19, 2023. This event, organised by the Türkiye Exporters Assembly (TIM) under the Ministry of Trade, exemplified the strength of our Turkish Business Council community and the beneficial connections it fosters. Connecting Top Brands and Businesses: Our distinguished member, Tamimi Consulting, performed a pivotal role in making this trade mission a resounding success. They organised the crucial B2B meetings that brought together 40 of Turkey's most prominent brands and businesses. It was a dynamic platform for these organisations to investigate new opportunities, establish partnerships, and broaden their horizons.    VISIT TO RAS AL KHAIMAH Consul General of the Republic of Türkiye, H.E. Onur Saylan paid a visit to Ras Al Khaimah upon the invitation of H.H. Sheikh Saud Bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah. Our esteemed Board Member Mr. Mehmed Zingal also took part in the Consul General’s delegation. At Al Dhait Palace, the audience discussed the bilateral cooperation opportunities with RAK, emphasising the strong relations between Türkiye and the United Arab Emirates. Heartfelt gratitude to His Highness for his hospitality. The delegation paid visits to RAK municipality, RAKEZ, RAK Ceramics and Emirates Sports Club. They also visited RAKEZ, the Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone. They discussed ways to strengthen our bilateral trade relationships and assessed possible areas of cooperation between our country and RAK. Ras Al Khaimah Municipality was also a destination during their visit. The delegation received information on RAK's urbanisation and development strategies by His Excellency Munther Mohammed Bin Shekar, Director-General of Ras Al Khaimah Municipality. Our esteemed Board Member Ms. Aycil Aktug and Mr. Mehmed Zingal took part in the Consul General`s delegation also. The final destination was RAK Ceramics, a leading company in the sector, which was founded by Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of RAK. We were proud to learn that their R&D Department is supervised by a Turkish citizen.      MEETING WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMY AND TOURISM We held a meeting with the Department of Economy and Tourism around ‘Business Compliant Dialogue’. Our esteemed President Mr. Kanat Kutluk, Vice President Mr. Timur Ilgaz, and our Board Member Mr. Mehmed Zingal attended the online meeting, and we discussed further collaboration opportunities.    YTU ALUMNI’S PRODUCTIVE MEETING WITH DR. EESA, THE RECTOR OF THE UNIVERSITY OF DUBAI. Our esteemed board member, Mr. Okan Kizilirmak, has visited Dubai University with the Yildiz Technical University GULF Region Alumni Association. They had a successful meeting with Dr. Eesa Mohammed Al Bastaki and Dr. Yaprak Anadol, president and vice president of the University of Dubai. During the meeting, Mr. Kizilirmak and the alumni association discussed potential collaborations between Yildiz Technical University and the University of Dubai, focusing on areas such as sustainability research and joint academic initiatives. As the leader of the Turkish Business Council’s Sustainability Committee, Ms. Yaprak Anadol played an essential role in this meeting. Both parties expressed enthusiasm for strengthening ties and fostering academic growth in the Gulf region.   DUBAI CHAMBER & MOHAMMED BIN RASHID AL MAKTOUM BUSINESS AWARD LAUNCH Our esteemed Board Members were invited to the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Business Award Launch. Mr. Tarik Tamimi and Mr. Okan Kizilirmak attended the event.    TURKISH BUSINESS COUNCIL'S GOLD TRADERS' DELEGATION MEETING We extended a warm invitation to our meeting with Gold Traders - Jewelers Association from Diyarbakir - Türkiye hosted by the Turkish Business Council, on 28th of September, 2023. The meeting took place at our business partner Starcamp Global’s office and it was a total success. This event was an exclusive opportunity for industry insights, and collaboration. Turkish Business Council’s esteemed president Mr. Kanat Kutluk welcomed the delegates and our distinguished members Kurum Consultancy and DD Metals and gave a speech to our guests about business opportunities and the regulations about the gold and jewel trade in the UAE.   |

In addition to the ‘Tennis Meetings’ that have been going on for three years, we are also holding the first ‘Padel Meeting’ this year due to popular demand.
