A NIGHT OF INSIGHTS AND COLLABORATION! TÜRKIYE CENTURY INVESTMENT RECEPTION
EXCLUSIVE BUSINESS BREAKFAST AND WORKSHOP UNDERSTANDING YOUR RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS We're delighted to inform you about an event that recently took place, organized by one of our esteemed corporate members, Hussain Lootah & Associates Consultancy. The event was a significant source of information and learning, providing insights into crucial aspects of employment in the UAE. Event Recap: On October 26th, 2023, Hussain Lootah & Associates Consultancy hosted an informative session at their premises on Baniyas Road in Deira, Dubai. The workshop delved into vital topics concerning employment rights and obligations for both employees and employers, as well as the concept of Emiratization. Key Workshop Topics: Understanding Your Rights and Obligations as an Employee or Employer Emiratization Featured Speakers: Shehab Abdelrehem, Legal Consultant Darren Bradshaw, Head of Corporate The event was a unique opportunity to gather comprehensive knowledge about the legal aspects of employment in the UAE. The discussion, led by seasoned professionals, provided invaluable insights that were both enlightening and immensely valuable for attendees. TECHNOLOGY AND SUSTAINABILITY EVENT WITH SERTAC DOGANAY On Thursday, October 19th, our Finance, IT, and Sustainability committees came together for their joint event. We had the honor of hosting Dr. Sertaç Doğanay, Technology and Sustainability Communicator, attending GITEX in Dubai which is one of the largest global technology events. Dr. Doğanay, who has been recognized as one of LinkedIn’s Top Voices globally and the first from Turkey, delivered a captivating presentation on “Technology and Sustainability Trends.” The event kicked off with opening remarks by our Turkish Business Council President, Kanat Kutluk, followed by a thank-you speech from IT committee leader Görkem Çokçetin. Dr. Doganay’s presentation, covering Global Sustainability Trends, the Future of Work and Critical Skills, and Technology Trends and Communication, left our guests informed and inspired. The interactive session continued with a networking dinner after the presentation.   EXPLORING INNOVATION AT YTU YILDIZ TECHNOPARK GATHERING The Turkish Business Council was thrilled to attend a special gathering hosted by YTU Yildiz Technopark after the GITEX event. It was a night of innovation, networking, and exploring exciting opportunities. This event brought together experts and enthusiasts to delve into the dynamic world of technology and entrepreneurship. Participants had the chance to connect with industry leaders and get an up-close look at the remarkable opportunities YTU Yildiz Technopark has to offer. We're grateful for the opportunity to be part of this gathering, and we look forward to future collaborations and innovative ventures!  29 OCTOBER DUBAI SPORTS MEETINGS: TENNIS, PADEL and MORE Dear Members and Friends, The excitement of the third '29th October Dubai Sports Meet' has come to an end! To mark the 29th of October, a series of sports events were organized by the Consulate General under the auspices of the Turkish Business Council, uniting the Turkish community living in Dubai. This year, in addition to our beloved Tennis Meetings, Padel Meetings was held due to high demand. From October 21st to 22nd and 28th to 29th, non-stop matches were played, creating unforgettable moments throughout the days. To celebrate the exceptional achievements of our athletes on October 29th and the dedication of all participants, a closing ceremony was held. Our heartfelt thanks go to all participants, the organizing committee, and volunteers, as well as the enthusiastic spectators and the sponsors and supporters who added color to our gathering. And special thanks to Consul General H.E. Onur Saylan, for supporting us and giving the trophy plates to the winners. As we bid farewell to this year's Tennis and Padel Meetings, we eagerly look forward to reuniting in the coming years with even more passion and excitement. By the way, The Turkish Cycling Community in Dubai got together for a 100-kilometer bike tour to honor the Turkish Republic's 100th birthday. This ride, which the Turkish Business Council and Consulate General Turkiye in Dubai hosted, was more than just a tour; it served as a symbol of the community's cohesion and tenacity. After they completed their tour, the celebration continued over a delightful breakfast at Huqqabaz Dubai. A heartfelt thank you to the cycling community for their impressive effort, commitment, and unbreakable spirit they displayed throughout the journey. As the sun rose over the stunning Dubai skyline, we started to celebrate a century of strength, unity, and community. Here's to many more incredible journeys together! And last but not least, Özgür Dinçsalman, a “brave” Turkish citizen, marked the 100th anniversary of our Republic by running 100 kilometres in Dubai! He began his preparations months in advance, inspired not only by his deep love for his homeland, but also by the support of a group of friends, as well as the Turkish Business Council Dubai and the Dubai Consulate. He jogged roughly 1200 kilometres in four months to prepare for this momentous occasion. The long-awaited day has finally arrived! On the evening of October 28th, he was bid farewell in front of our Consulate by his family, friends, and Dubai Consul General H.E. Onur Şaylan. After a gruelling 15-hour run, he completed his 100 km race on the morning of October 29th, shedding tears of pride for fulfilling his mission. At the residence of the Dubai Consulate, he was warmly welcomed by Dubai Consul General H.E. Onur Şaylan, The Turkish Business Council Dubai President Mr. Kanat Kutluk, and the citizens present to celebrate the 100th anniversary of our Republic. Long live the Republic, and may our beautiful flag continue to wave high! How proud to be Turkish.        TURKISH BUSINESS COUNCIL INVITED YOU TO CEPA FORUM AND NETWORKING EVENT We're thrilled to extend our heartfelt gratitude for joining us at the exclusive business forum hosted by the Turkish Business Council in Dubai. Our focus on the groundbreaking Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) between the United Arab Emirates and Turkiye created an illuminating and fruitful event.
