Welcome to your Turkish Business Council’s July update.
The month has seen another busy calendar of networking, social and business opportunities for our members and invited guests. On the occasion of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day, we participated in a commemoration ceremony and exhibition organised by the Turkish Consulate General. All Turkish citizens were invited to the ceremony. During the official visit to the Gulf Region by our President, Mr. Recep Tayyip ERDOĞAN, accompanied by our Minister of Trade, Prof. Dr. Ömer BOLAT, and other ministers, a successful business forum was organised in Abu Dhabi. Our summer networking event, held on 27th July at Address Montgomerie Hotel was a very successful evening amongst our esteemed members and friends. Coming together for this unique event, we all had the wonderful opportunity to mingle and to get to know our newest members and guests, which helped us form new connections and understand how partnerships and collaborations can help our businesses grow together. COMMEMORATION OF 15TH JULY DEMOCRACY AND NATIONAL UNITY DAY An exhibition held by the Turkish Consulate General in honour of Democracy and National Unity Day was held on July 15. The commemorative ceremony was open to all Turkish citizens. Our sincere appreciation goes to General H.E. Onur Saylan of the Turkish Consulate for the organisation.   FOREIGN ECONOMIC RELATIONS BOARD, TÜRKIYE - UAE BUSINESS FORUM During the official visit to the GCC by our President, Mr. Recep Tayyip ERDOĞAN, accompanied by our Minister of Trade, Prof. Dr. Ömer BOLAT, and other ministers, an UAE business forum was organised in Abu Dhabi. Held on July 19 through the cooperation of DEİK and counterpart organisations, the forum was attended by our esteemed Ambassador, H.E. Tugay Tuncer, and Consul General, H.E. Onur Şaylan, along with representatives from the Turkish Business Council Dubai Management Board, including Idris Demirhan, Okan Kızılırmak, and Tarık Tamimi.    MEMBER OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS, MR. IDRIS DEMIRHAN’S MEETING WITH MINISTERS IN TÜRKIYE During his visit to Türkiye, our Board Director, Mr. İdris Demirhan met with Mr. Ömer Bolat, Minister of Trade, and Mr. Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş, Minister of Family and Social Relations. We would like to thank Mr. İdris Demirhan for successfully representing the Turkish Business Council.   |

TURKISH BUSINESS COUNCIL SUMMER NETWORKING EVENT On the evening of July 27th, we gathered at Monty's Pergola, located within the Address Montgomerie, Dubai. We enjoyed a delightful evening as we joyously welcomed the new members into our community. TURKISH BUSINESS COUNCIL DUBAI AND NORTHERN EMIRATES COLLABORATES WITH IFZA TO HOST INFORMATIVE WEBINAR A webinar held by the Turkish Business Council Dubai and Northern Emirates, in collaboration with IFZA, conducted in Turkish was successfully held and the following topics were discussed: Corporate taxation in the UAE under new regulations, tax legislation between Turkey and the UAE, and company establishment in the UAE. Expert speakers included our Turkish Business Council President, Kanat Kutluk, Attorney Deniz Sohaibani, and IFZA's Customer Engagement Manager, Berna Aydemir, while the moderation was handled by Turkish Business Council Project Coordinator, Hülya Öcal Karcı.  GREEN AND SPIEGEL EXCLUSIVE START-UP VISA PROGRAM WEBINAR Our distinguished member Green and Spiegel LLP held a webinar focused on the Canadian Start-Up Visa Program On July 27th, Stuart Browne, CEO of Pycap, alongside Stephen Green and Eren Sari of Green and Spiegel presented: ● Details regarding eligibility ● Specific information for entrepreneurs and founders ● Information to ensure SUVP application is a success.  BUSINESS AND INVESTMENT OPPORTUNITIES WEBINAR IN DUBAI Our distinguished corporate member, DP World invited all our members to a webinar jointly organised by DP World and Turkish Exporters Assembly (TIM). Titled "Business and Investment Opportunities in Dubai", DP World Yarimca CEO Kris Adams, TİM Chairman of the Board Mustafa Gültepe, Dubai Commercial Attaché Muhammed Emin Erkal and DP World Business Development Manager Yarimca Tarıq Al Tayer spoke at the event. They provided valuable information about Dubai's business potential and investment opportunities with the leading global companies and access to global markets. The event took place on Friday, July 28th.  |
