April has been another positive and busy month with iftar gatherings bringing our members and friends together to network and break the fast. Moreover,a joyful celebration of National Sovereignty and Children’s Day. We look forward to another successful month of connections and positivity. Iftar Dinner 2022 The traditional Turkish Business Council Iftar was held on the 13th of April at Arjaan by Rotana Hotel in Media City, in Dubai. H.E Tugay Tunçer, Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye in UAE, H.E. Mr. Mümin Alanat, Ex Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye, Senior Management of DP World and DMCC authority representatives joined 261 TBC Council members and guests to break the fast and share a beautiful evening of networking and contemplation of the holy month together. National Sovereignty and Children’s Day A celebration of National Sovereignty and Children’s Day was held on the 23th of April under the auspices of the Consulate General of Türkiye by Dubai Türkçe Saatleri and Sultans of Dubai with the support of the Turkish Business Council. The event also supported the Turkish Education Volunteers Foundation project “1 Çocuk Değişir Türkiye Gelişir” which is proudly supported by the National Sovereignty and Children's Day organisation. Turkish Airlines Iftar 2022 Turkish Airlines hold their annual iftar on the 19th of April. The event also honoured the General Manager of Turkish Airlines Dubai & Northern Emirates and Turkish Business Council Executive Board Member, Mr. Emre İsmailoğlu who will shortly relocate to New York on a new assignment. Mr. İsmailoğlu made a farewell speech and expressed gratitude for his tenure at Turkish Airlines Dubai & Northern Emirates.  For pictures, please click here. The Turkish Business Council would like to thank Mr. İsmailoğlu unequivocally for his efforts and close cooperation during his tenure in the UAE. | Commemoration of Atatürk On the 19th of May, on the commemoration of Atatürk, youth and sports day events will be held for the second year running under the auspices of the Consulate General of Türkiye. “19 Mayıs Dubai Basketbol Buluşması”, which drew a lot of attention last year, is back for 2022 with more competitors, more competition days, and bigger prizes. The registration for “19 Mayıs Dubai Basketbol Buluşması” is completed and you can follow all the details via the @dubaisporbulusmalari Instagram account. “19 Mayıs Dubai Voleybol Buluşması” registration is open until the 12th of May. The Turkish Business Council is looking forward to seeing our members' participation and support of this event.  |
