Welcome to the Turkish Business Council Dubai & Northern Emirates December update. The Council and our esteemed members have enjoyed a busy and fruitful month as we gain momentum for the new year. The end of 2021 saw visits from esteemed International guests, our end of year networking events and dinner and meetings to strengthen relations between the Turkish business community and the local Chambers of Commerce. We welcome our newest council members and offer exclusive member discounts alongside insight into news and stories around the region, overall showcasing what looks to be a promising year for Turkish trade in the UAE and beyond.
Minister's visit raises confidence between UAE and Turkey business relations.
Upon the invitation of Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister of the UAE, H.E. Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye visited the UAE between 14th and 15th of December, where a meeting with Turkish Business Council Dubai & Northern Emirates Board Members took place to discuss the relationships and impact on business between the UAE and Turkey.
H.E Minister Çavuşoğlu noted that Turkey would continue to support Turkish business people, who play such a major role in the development of the commercial relations between the UAE and Turkey. He added that the trade between the countries would increase favourably into 2022 and beyond..
Chamber of Commerce meeting brings business council and groups together
Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry recently held the final meeting of 2021 which brought together the business groups and councils under the DCC banner. Turkish Business Council was represented at the meeting which upheld the Chamber mission to support and protect the interests of the business community in Dubai.
During the meeting,held on December 15th, the Chamber reviewed the Emirate’s economic landscape, growth prospects and investment opportunities, and introduced the private sector to the most recent developments in the laws and regulations.
The meeting provided a platform to engage with the business community and exchange views on the latest developments, identify the challenges being faced by the private sector, make recommendations to the relevant government agencies, along with exploring future investment opportunities.
Umm Al Quain extends opportunities for Turkish Investors
The Turkish Business Council enjoyed the hospitality of the Chamber of Commerce of Umm Al Quwain at a meeting held on December 19th.
UAQ Industrial City and Free Zone have attracted many companies across a variety of industries as an attractive investment destination by providing flexible and easy documentation and procedures, long-term leases & logistical advantages. The meeting discussed the opportunities for Turkish investors in UAQ and the mutual benefits for the Emirate and Turkey.
